Minty Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Smoothie is a new recipe I whipped up the other night containing not only mint, but my other two loves peanut butter and dark chocolate. You know healthy fats and all!
Lately I seem to be craving mint. It seems like I always do this time of year. Whether it is because it is spring for because of the fast-food Shamrock Shakes around St. Patrick’s Day I can’t say. Maybe it’s just because I like mint, especially if it’s combined with chocolate.
I have started putting cooked oatmeal in my smoothies lately and love it. It gives the smoothie a creamy texture and consistency with the bonus of extra protein and fiber. Like many ingredients it doesn’t alter the taste unless you add too much. (Learned from experience the first time I tried it.)
