I don’t know about you but there is no way I’m going to pay as much for one cup of coffee as a whole pound of coffee costs. I guess I’m too cheap.
I also usually end up with at least one cup of coffee left over in the morning. Again, being cheap (not wasteful), I don’t want to just throw this out. The following recipe is a quick way to use any left-over coffee up and also is a quick pick-me-up in the afternoon.
Too keep from watering down my coffee drink, I like to use frozen coffee “ice” cubes. I take any left-over coffee and freeze it in ice cube trays, when frozen put in a freezer container and you have frozen coffee cubes when ever you need them.
These are also great if you need some coffee in a recipe and you don’t have any made. I like to add coffee to my pot roasts when I make one. Makes it tender and gives it a wonderful flavor. No it doesn’t taste like coffee.
